Why Does Your House Smell So Good? What Do You Clean With?

8/10/2015

Wondering why my house smells so good, and why my floor shine?

I use essential oil for practically everything around the house. I use lemon oil to add shine to my floors, and my pets love that I don't use harmful cleaners.

Lemon essential oil can be used many things, even in skincare to help control breakouts and oily skin.

Wondering how to choose essential oils?

In my years of experience if purchases, I found that not all essential oil brands smell the same. Once I find a brand I stick with them for all my essential oil needs.

Definitely try lemon essential oil as an alternative to your house hold cleaners. You will be amazed at the differences you see.

Food For Thought, A Bloggers Inspiration For You

7/22/2015

In just 2 quick days my 28th Birthday will be here, for me birthdays are horrible. I always manage to have something happen to me that make them unforgettable in not so good ways.

For my Golden Year birthday I received a nasty spider bite, that later made me really sick and led to a doctor procedure. The year following that I caught mono and spent a lot of time sleeping and feeling horrible.

I often look back on these experiences as I get older, I like to approach everyday as Expecting the Best, but Prepared For the Worst, as I am often dealt lemons.

This past year has been probably the roughest one yet that I have had all starting the night the year turned; losing two grandpas within 30 days, getting married during the last days that one grandpa was here, finishing my last semester in college in 8 WEEKS, dealing with chronic sinusitis, and deciding to free-lance work while completing college all pull my mind a million directions.

You may wonder how one remains calm, and finds the encouragement to face the continuing challenges that we are dealt.

I would not have been able to give you this any sooner.

  • Always begin the day well-polished, with your shower, hair and makeup. You never know what you will face each upcoming day.
  • Always be courtesy to those around you; their day may be going worse.
  • Always try to see both sides of every decision, argument, disagreement, or life changing decisions you make.
  • Don't put off any health concerns.
  • Respect your body, if you are sick YOUR BODY does need LOTS of REST.
  • Value family, and holidays.
  • Value down time, soaks in the tub can't always happen.
  • Keep a clean car, stocked with equipment for breakdowns.
  • Find the positive in your bad decisions, how did this affect the way of future thinking.
  • You can't change the past; apologize for your mistakes, and value what you have.
  • What's done is done; failed a test? It's done, work on improving all future attempts in the class 100%
  • Make a family tree.
  • Something lost isn't lost forever, remove yourself from the scene and come back and look for it.
  • Forgive and don't hold a grudge. It's a short life.
  • Value what you had in the past, to add value to the future.
  • Make your voice known and heard.
  • Apologize to those you've hurt, even if time has passed.
  • Love and value what you have, remove yourself from technology to embrace and reflect.
  • Find a hobby.
  • Give yourself free time.
  • Live every day to the fullest.

With the huge expansion of technology over the past few years, many companies have turned to email for means of communication. This has resulted in too many unread emails, and spam flagging.

So what industries can utilize a service that can bring back the lost personal communication? Industries such as:
  • Auto Dealerships
  • Bars, Clubs & Restaurants
  • Business Travel
  • College & University
  • Community Management
  • Conference & Events
  • Family & Friends
  • Fitness & Gyms
  • Fundraising

There are so many useful ways to utilize Texting Base and their features that they offer. I recommend trying this service out especially if your business is down. Easily alert customers of sales, and wish them a happy birthday with a promo code.

Midori Spring Matcha, Consider This Easy Health Benefit!

7/3/2015

Looking for Matcha for your tea needs? I have never been a fan of drinking straight matcha like the directions suggest of Midori Springs Matcha. Matcha is one of those products that you love or hate. It offers a ton of health benefits in just a small serving.

I am a huge tea drinker and my favorite flavor is green tea and jasmine, when I steep my tea I add a little of the matcha for the health benefits, when I release my tea into the glass with my steeper the mixture becomes well blended as it is being filtered through a screen.

I find that the rock sugar actually produces a sweeter taste with less of the product compared to traditional sugar. I also use honey as a sweetener for bitter or black teas.

I find that white sugar just doesn’t pair well to bring out flavors in any tea and leave that sugar for coffee. Honey is significant sweet so a little does go along way when adding to your drink, I usually end up with a half of teaspoon to a teaspoon with a 10 oz glass of tea.

This matcha is definately worth trying, I recommend start out by mixing it into another product if this is your first time trying it.

I was glad to receive this product at a discounted rate or free in exchange for my honest opinion because of recent concerns with my normal go to tea Company having pesticides in their tea! I have been searching for a new supplier of my tea.

Shammy Scams...Who are you, and how did you get my info? National Association of Professional Women

3/24/2015

Picture
This week I received yet another letter complementing on my growing business, and trying to recommend a service to benefit myself and the company. This is about the same time that my products have been on the internet long enough to begin appearing in Google's search, curiosity got to me on this company called the National Association of Professional Women.

So I turned to the internet (thank goodness for Google), and here is the down low of my findings.
1. Straight to the companies website and a front page statement
"Join our community of over 600k professional women and revamp your career to success."

OK, so they are a company that joins women together, not to bad right? Further reading into the next page I read more about the online profiles, and connecting with other women who own companies (this is what is claimed to be over 600K professional women).

2. Now over to their social pages, believe it or not your social pages do say A LOT.

The Facebook page of this company has 41,828 likes, wait over 600k women and only 41,828 like the companies page? (In most companies this would be a different scenario if the company is a physical place, however this company is selling services that require internet use).
This means there are links to their social accounts everywhere, so the opportunity is always there. What happened to the roughly 558,172 thousand women? A little suspicious to me.

3. Thirdly, and far most importantly is to head on over to Glass Door and see what past employees are saying. Pretty much a sales company trying to sell use of this platform.  I did some further more research to find many complaints about the company and it's services.
Below is a statement about the companies BBB rating, and statements about complaints.

It also appears that the company has had to deal with some negative statements in the past, check out this statement in the terms of service. They really focus on having defamatory statements made about NAPW and  its members and or its membership community removed:
(Therefore, users agree not to engage in any conduct which in any way communicates such statements, including by posting them to any Internet site of any kind, whether controlled by a third-party or the user. In the event any user breaches this agreement, the user further agrees to the following)
Sounds a little too  thought out to me? It's a resolution to a company threat, a threat that they have been fighting. It really makes me wonder just exactly how many articles and statements have been removed to this date?

Here's the full rundown from the website

  • User authorizes NAPW to contact the Internet provider in control of the site on which any such statements are posted and demand immediate removal of the statements
  • To the extent such statements are posted on a site controlled solely by the user, user agrees to immediately remove the statements upon notification by NAPW and, should user refuse to do so, user will be responsible for NAPW’s reasonable fees and expenses to seek removal of the statements
  • User agrees that such statements have caused NAPW and/or its membership community to suffer immediate, irreparable harm sufficient to warrant a court to award temporary injunctive relief should such relief be necessary for removal of the statements
  • User agrees to cooperate in every respect with regard to the removal of such statements, including to execute any documents necessary to effect the removal
If, in NAPW’s sole discretion, a user is to be in breach of these terms, NAPW reserves the right to terminate this license as well as the offending user’s membership status. NAPW expressly reserves all other rights and remedies available in the event of such a breach.

4. And to finish my search, I turned to blogs. You can always find some in sightly information from blog posts. I was actually lucky enough to stumble across enough information about bad experiences with the
National Association of Professional Women to make my conclusion.... No Thank You!

I highly recommend checking out this bloggers article about her experience with the companies representatives. It definitely made me feel good about throwing the letter away. I highly recommend that you do the same, you can network many other places for cheaper that have recommendations.

Remember, just throw it away..
