So I am always a fan of purchasing an Investment piece, or what I also like to call Closet Staples. These are the items that you get continuous use throughout each season. With that being said, every girl needs to have at least one pair of boots in their closet. There are many styles such as riding boots, ankle boots, moto boots, combat boots, over the knee boots etc. etc. the list goes on.
I have always been a huge fan of the combat boot style, this boot the Steve Madden Troopa is more of a cross of the traditional English riding boot and the combat boot= A very versatile investment. The boot that is pictured is the Camel color, I was able to get this pair from Street Moda. I fell in love as soon as I opened the box. Genuine leather, and a beautiful neutral brown. This style runs very true to size, and each pair is uniquely different in the leather texture, showing that they are truly genuine leather. A simple outfit can be paired with these, or even pair them with a dress. I found that even though you can lace them how you wish, the double wrap around is the best way to lace them.

Birchbox, that small box brightly colored box, that is never the same, and comes in the mail each month. Its always a little surprise for me. I typically would not purchase a subscription to a monthly program, however it was a gift that has extended way past opening gifts on Christmas.
This box contains many samples, and some full sized samples of beauty and hair care products. You will receive 5 items each month, also if you log in to your account you can utilize the tools to tailor your product selection to better suit your needs. You can also check the box in the questionnaire to receive a 6th sample that will wrapped in sample packaging (but who really cares), I highly recommend logging into your account. For the month of February the items that I received are below along with my insight to the products. Eyeko Skinny Liquid Eyeliner $16.00 I have bad luck! For some reason many of the eyeliners with wet tips arrive to me with the lids popped open slightly, enough to dry them out. This eyeliner makes my second experience with this issue, the last time that this occurred my sister in law had actually gave me hers. I did use hers and found that by 3 PM much of it has smudged or rubbed off. How does that happen? I do not know, honestly I have never had eyeliner just start diminishing from my face. I would not purchase this item, however the design of the brush tip I do like, and I will look for eyeliner with this type of feature in my future shopping trips. Supergoop Daily Correct CC Cream SPF 35 $32.00 Supergoop, a crazy name huh? This product is fantastic, it leaves a satin smooth feeling over your face, and lets face it it's winter so we all don't have a nice sun kissed, polished face. That's unless you have been to the spa lately. This CC cream is one of the best CC creams that I have used in the past 3 years, I usually finish off the cream with loose powder and blush. The cream is just thick enough to help smooth out fine lines, wrinkles, and pores while allowing it to be layered smoothly, with other forms of makeup. I would definitely recommend this product to anyone whom is searching for light to medium coverage, it could also be used as a lighter version to concealer (For me concealer is to harsh of a cover up in one area, the concealer becomes darker and darker with each layer eventually giving you opposite results than what you had in visioned). This would also be perfect for a day at the beach or anytime you will be in the direct sun, as the SPF factor is higher than most CC creams. Juice Beauty GREEN APPLE Cleansing Gel $26.00 This cleanser my husband loved, however me not so much. I like cleansers that are more of a creamy texture, so that I know I am really cleaning my makeup off (and they remove tough eyeliner well). This product does do the job though, and smooths skin very well. I can however foresee this product being unintentionally wasted, the gel is more of a liquid and the tube design of the sample is a bad design. One tiny squeeze and the whole tube is in your hand. This product is a product that I will try again in the future, least I know if I don't use it my husband will. I definitely recommend this to people who are searching for a light cleanser, or for people who have sensitive skin. Davines MINU Shampoo$25.00 Ok, If you have read the About Me, you know that I have my Cosmetology license. That being said, I typically never purchase over the counter hair care. Trust me there are really good perks about using quality hair care! Your Stylist is not lying. This shampoo came in a larger size sample bottle, I have to give them credit -this is the first shampoo product that I have received as a sample with enough of it to get two showers out of! This product totally impressed me, smooth hair that you can run your fingers through right out of the shower. What...that never happens! After drying my hair, it felt amazing, no tangles, no products, and my hair felt thicker and smoother. I will definitely purchase this shampoo again, I recommend trying it. The $25 bottle will last longer than most shampoo's. Davines MINU Hair Serum$23.50 This item was not included in the 5 items in my box, I guarantee it would have been amazing after using the shampoo. Juicy Couture Hollywood Royal – 2.5 oz.$72.00 This perfume was a great sample to try. This is not a light scent, I recommend wearing it on the weekend or date night. I was excited that Juicy Couture had introduced a new perfume that is very different from the rest. The scent profile is candied apple, juicy pear, jasmine, and gardenia with a hint of marshmallow and vanilla, perfectly paired and bottled up.
